Demographic

Demographics are statistical information that describes the nature of a population. Usually, this information includes such factors as age, gender, race, ethnicity, income, education, occupation, and geographic location. Governments, businesses, and researchers use demographic analysis to understand the direction that society is taking, which in turn enables them to think of planning public services and formulating marketing strategies, among others. This only helps determine what particular group or population needs or behaves in a particular way. For example, demographic analysis may disclose a growing elderly population, a high concentration of young professionals, or growth in ethnic diversity in a city-meaning that the study would provide you with information on local dynamics and how to solve local issues of an economic or social nature.
