He started his professional career playing for the Kansas City Royals back in 1995 and became one of the main outfielders of both the Boston Red Sox and the New York Yankees. In 2004, Damon was the player who proved very key when the Red Sox finally broke their 86-year World Series. Drought following his playing a key role in one of the greatest comebacks ever made by a team in the postseason against his former team, the New York Yankees. Damon has long remembered sporting long hair and a red beard with the Red Sox; he shaved his hair and his beard off in order to join the Yankees and win yet another World Series for that team in 2009.
