National Association of Hispanic Journalists

by Anam

Founded in 1984, it is the leading organization advocating for fair representation of Hispanic communities in news coverage. The organization works toward full employment opportunities for Latino journalists in newsrooms and promotes professional development through training, networking, and mentorship for Latino journalists. The organization supports journalists who are discriminated against and also promotes social justice and equality. NAHJ provides an annual convention and other events, including conferences. It actively amplifies Hispanic voices in journalism across different communication platforms: print, broadcast, and digital.
